May 29, 2012 - Hewlett Packard Corp. (HP) announced that it has settled its patent litigation with Multilaser Industrial Ltd., a Brazil-based company.
Under the terms of the settlement, Multilaser acknowledged the validity of the patents-at-suit, which cover HP's integrated printhead inkjet cartridges, and that the patents were infringed. Multilaser agreed to stop selling its infringing printhead inkjet cartridges in Brazil and other countries where HP has patent coverage, and will also reimburse HP for a portion of its legal fees.
The settlement resolves a lawsuit filed in the Brazilian State Court of Sao Paolo in April 2011.
