Some few days ago, we wrote about Interactive Life Forms LLC, the sex toy manufacturer that filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission (I.T.C.) against more than two dozen companies that it accused of selling imported sex toys which infringe its patents. The I.T.C. voted to launch an investigation into this matter, no doubt to protect the jobs of Interactive’s production workers and product design personnel.
Well, we are happy to report that several accused infringers have apparently seen the error of their ways. Renouncing their past sinful behavior, Pipedream Products Inc. and Honey’s Place, Inc., amongst others, have agreed to stop selling infringing products until the patents-in-suit have expired or unless they have taken licenses or purchased the products from Interactive.
So to an extent, justice triumphs. American jobs are preserved and the flow of sex toys continues uninterrupted. Good work, I.T.C.!
