More Hustle[r]!

As the conscientious reader of this column is aware, Larry Flynt, of Hustler Magazine fame, recently sued his kid brother Jimmy, alleging infringement of the HUSTLER trademark. (If you are not conscientious, see All You Ever Wanted To Know About HUSTLER – And More.) Well, whatever emotional problems bedevil Larry to cause him to bring his ridiculous lawsuit apparently runs in the family, as evidenced by Jimmy’s latest antics.

In the lawsuit, Larry claimed that Jimmy, who operated a Cincinnati, Ohio nudie bar not affiliated with the “Hustler Empire,” owed $134,000 in unpaid trademark royalties. Jimmy responded by filing a motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction barring Larry from opening his own nearby HUSTLER Cincinnati nudie bar. “Unlike Larry, Jimmy has respect for this court and the litigation process and has not made efforts to open new and/or competing business ventures under the Hustler name pending resolution of the claims and issues [in the lawsuit].”

The judge, either disgusted by the internecine warfare or a fan of nudie bars, denied the motion, allowing Larry to continue operation of his nudie bar. A formal order explaining his reasoning will be forthcoming. We can’t wait to read it.
