May 22, 2013 - Apple has filed a motion to add Samsung's new smartphone, the Galaxy S4, to the existing patent lawsuit between the two companies.
Apple analyzed the Galaxy S4 and its analysis "revealed that the Galaxy S4 infringes five of Apple's asserted patents in the same ways as Samsung's already accused products," Apple said in the court filing.
The patents Apple claims are infringed by the Galaxy S4 include patents related to user interfaces, data synchronization, and Siri-related search.
Apple requests that the Galaxy S4 be added to the lawsuit it originally filed against Samsung in February 2012.
