Dr. Poltorak commented on the proposal to change the U.S. patent system from first-to-invent to first-to-file - a major change designed to bring the U.S. patent regime in line with foreign patent systems:
“People from all over the world come here because they know the U.S. system is the best,” said Alexander Poltorak, president and founder of American Innovators for Patent Reform [and Chairman and CEO of General Patent Corporation]. “This is a big mistake, and one that will weaken the system.”
