Ositech Communications Named in Patent Lawsuit Filed by Acticon Technologies

SUFFERN, NY, August 7, 2001 - Ositech Communications, Inc., Guelph, ON Canada (Ositech), has been named in a patent infringement lawsuit by Acticon Technologies LLC (Acticon), a wholly owned subsidiary of General Patent Corporation (GPC). The suit seeks to enforce four of Acticon's patents that cover specific aspects of PC Card modems, other PCMCIA form-factor communications and IO devices, and smart connectors. The suit was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

SUFFERN, NY, April 20, 2001 - Creative Labs, Inc., Milpitas, California, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Creative Technology, Ltd. (Nasdaq: CREAF), has been named in a patent infringement law suit by Acticon Technologies LLC (Acticon), a wholly owned subsidiary of General Patent Corporation (GPC). General Patent Corporation Settles Patent Suit With Smart Modular Technologies

SUFFERN, NY, October 31, 2000 - General Patent Corporation (GPC), an intellectual property management firm based in Suffern, NY, has reached a settlement with Smart Modular Technologies, Inc., Fremont, CA (NASDAQ: SMOD), in a patent infringement suit brought by GPC in 1998. GPC sued Smart Modular Technologies in April of 1998 in the Federal Court, Northern District of California for patent infringement.
