General Patent Corporation Adds Vice President of Licensing

Dr. Yoriko Morita Will Focus on Licensing in Asian Markets

Suffern, N.Y. – April 30, 2014 − General Patent Corporation (GPC), a leading patent licensing and IP management firm, has added Dr. Yoriko Morita to its corporate management team as Vice President of Licensing. Dr. Morita is an experienced licensing executive with an extensive IP and technical background.

Prior to joining General Patent, Yoriko Morita served in senior licensing executive positions at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), MBio Diagnostics, OmniVision Technologies and Phiar Corporation. She has been a Registered U.S. Patent Agent since 2001, and she is a member of the Licensing Executives Society and is a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP). Dr. Morita has been responsible for the prosecution, oversight and cultivation of a patent portfolio that includes over 1,200 IP matters. She holds a BA in Physics from Lawrence University, a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado and an Executive MBA. Dr. Morita is fluent in Japanese.
