Alexander Poltorak and Richard Ehrlickman Are Inducted into IAM Strategy 250
Suffern, N.Y. – June 17, 2010 – Two executives in the General Patent Group of Companies, Alexander Poltorak and Richard Ehrlickman, were named among the World’s Leading IP Strategists. This list of the The World’s Leading IP Strategists is administered by Intellectual Asset Management magazine (IAM) of London, UK.
Alexander Poltorak is founder, Chairman and CEO of General Patent Corporation (GPC), the leading intellectual property firm focusing on patent licensing and enforcement, as well as IP strategy and valuation, the oldest such company in the U.S. Alex Poltorak also serves as the Managing Director of IP Holdings, LLC, an IP-centric merchant banking boutique affiliated with GPC. Dr. Poltorak is well known and respected in the IP community and is a co-author of two books, Essentials of Intellectual Property (John Wiley & Sons 2002) and Essentials of Licensing Intellectual Property (John Wiley & Sons 2004). Alex Poltorak is also founder and President of American Innovators for Patent Reform (AIPR), a non-profit trade association and advocacy group.
Prior to founding General Patent Corporation in 1987, Alexander Poltorak was the CEO of Rapitech Systems Inc, a publicly-traded computer technology company he co-founded in 1983. He also has served as an assistant professor of biomathematics at Cornell University Medical College, as an assistant professor of physics at Touro College, and as an adjunct professor of law at The Globe Institute for Technology.
Richard Ehrlickman holds dual positions – Vice President at General Patent Corporation and President of IPOfferings LLC, a patent brokerage firm headquartered in Boca Raton, Fla. IPOfferings is member of the GPC Group of Companies.
Rich Ehrlickman spent 30 years at IBM, the last 15 as Vice President, Intellectual Property and Licensing. He was CEO of Automated Resource Group, a software and services company specializing in database and subscription management solutions, and later served as Executive Vice President of IP Transactions at TAEUS International Corporation. He founded IPOfferings in 2009 to focus on IP brokerage and consulting services. Rich Ehrlickman has received recognition as a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) from the Licensing Executives Society (LES).
